Your liquor license expired on a Friday.
You found out at 7pm.
The renewal notice went to a GM who left in March.
Nobody has opened that inbox since.
An inspector pulled your staff records.
One food handler card was six weeks stale.
Your insurer wants the hood cleaning certificate.
Nobody knows where it is.

It’s never the operator who doesn’t care. It’s the one date that lived in one person’s head, in the week that got busy. Renewal IQ tracks every license, permit and certification across every location, then emails and texts the person who can fix it — 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before it expires.
Nobody loses a location on purpose.
It’s never the operator who doesn’t care. It is always the date that lived in one person's head, on the week that got busy.
The renewal notice went to a GM who left in March
The agency mailed it. It reached an inbox nobody monitors. The first person to learn the license lapsed is the guest being told the bar is closed.
A food handler card expired six weeks ago
The inspector pulls staff records. One card is out of date. Now the visit is about your records instead of your kitchen, and it goes on the report.
Your insurer wants the hood cleaning certificate
It exists. Somewhere. In an email chain, on a phone, or with a vendor who has stopped answering. Producing it takes three days you do not have.
Built for food service.
Not a reminder app with a logo.
Every feature here exists because a multi-location operator needed it, not because it filled out a comparison grid.
Permit Scanner
Photograph a health permit or liquor license. Every field fills in — name, agency, number, expiration. Review and save. A six-location group is set up in an afternoon, not a week.
Email and Text Reminders
An email and a text message at 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before every expiration. Add your own on any permit — 90 days for a liquor renewal, 5 for a quick filing. Sent to whoever owns it at that location, not an info@ inbox nobody reads.
Every Location, One Screen
Color-coded by urgency across the whole group. What needs action today, what is covered for months, without opening six spreadsheets.
Documents Attached, Not Filed
Each permit carries its own paperwork. When the inspector asks, you produce it from your phone instead of calling the GM who might know.
Renewal Audit Trail
Every renewal logged with date, fee, who filed it, and the document that came back. Full history per license, per location, for as long as you need it.
A Page You Can Hand Over
Each location gets a public compliance page showing current permit status. Share the link with an inspector, a landlord, or a franchisor.
An afternoon covers a six-location group.
What restaurant operators
asked for next.
Shaped by conversations with multi-unit operators and the consultants who advise them. Listed here so you know where this is going — not sold as shipping today.
Wider permit library
Grease trap and FOG, elevator and boiler, scale certification, music licensing, sign and patio permits, tobacco and lottery.
Renewal fee forecasting
What compliance costs next year, by location and by entity. A budget line instead of a surprise.
Vendor COI tracking
Hood cleaners, grease haulers, pest control, plus your own GL and workers comp certificates that landlords and franchisors demand.
Employee credentials
ServSafe, food handler cards, alcohol server permits. Tracked per person, so they move with the employee between locations.
Health inspections
Log the score, the violations cited, and the corrective actions with an owner and a due date on each one.
Pre-opening pipeline
The permit sequence for opening a location, with the liquor license running in parallel because it takes longest.
Name every permit expiring
in the next 90 days.
If you had to go look, you already know why this exists. One restaurant carries a dozen. Six carry seventy. A spreadsheet doesn’t care when one of them lapses, and it won’t tell you which one.
Multi-Concept Restaurant Groups
Different concepts, different license classes, different municipalities, one operator carrying all of it. Each concept keeps its own calendar and you keep the rollup.
Bars & Nightlife
Liquor licenses carry the longest lead times and the harshest lapse consequences. Entertainment permits, occupancy certificates and late-hours endorsements stack on top.
Franchisees & Multi-Unit Operators
Franchisors demand current proof of permits and insurance on a schedule. Produce it on request instead of scrambling every quarter.
Ghost Kitchens & Commissaries
Shared facilities multiply the permit count without multiplying the people tracking them. Every brand at one address, tracked separately.
Set it up once.
Let it run.
Most groups are fully set up in an afternoon. The scanner does the heavy lifting.
Add your locations
Name each restaurant and its jurisdiction. Renewal IQ suggests the permits a food service operation there typically carries.
Scan your permits
Photograph each license. Fields fill in. Correct anything that reads wrong, attach the document, save.
Stop thinking about it
Reminders fire on schedule to the right person. Log the renewal when it is done and the next cycle sets itself.
What one missed renewal
actually costs.
The spreadsheet works until it doesn't, and when it fails the costs are not small.
A suspended liquor license doesn’t close the kitchen. It removes the highest-margin line on the check while the dining room stays open.
Many jurisdictions add a percentage penalty on top of the fee, and some require reapplying from the beginning rather than renewing at all.
Letting a license lapse instead of renewing can restart a process that takes months. The location waits.
Franchise agreements and commercial leases routinely require licenses in good standing. A lapse can put an agreement in technical default.

Compliance software you have to
check on isn’t compliance software.
You’re handing us the dates that keep your dining rooms open.
Here is what stands behind that.
Your card never touches our servers
Payments run entirely through Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 provider. We never see, store or transmit a card number, and billing changes happen in Stripe's own portal.
Documents held apart from the app
Every permit document lives in private Cloudflare object storage rather than on the application server. Access is signed and time limited, and the files stay durable independently of the app.
Encrypted in transit, hashed at rest
TLS on every request. Passwords stored as salted SHA-512 hashes, never in readable form. Sessions use short-lived tokens that can be revoked the moment someone leaves.
Your data is scoped to your account
Every query is bound to your account before it runs. Tenant isolation is enforced at the data layer, not by a filter on a screen.
Nothing is ever really deleted
Deleting a permit marks it inactive rather than destroying it. A mistaken delete is recoverable and your renewal history stays intact for audits.
Support that doesn’t go into a void
Raise a ticket from inside the app and it is logged against your account, not lost in an inbox. It goes to ML Software directly — no outsourced help desk, no first-line script.
Stop hoping the spreadsheet holds.
